The short answer

The nine games at a glance

A surprising number of players love fast movement and crisp first person gunplay, but prefer shooters without realistic human gore, whether because they stream on Twitch and YouTube, play in a shared living room, or simply prefer mechanical and cartoon impact feedback. When I built Iron Curtain Call as a solo developer in Istanbul, I made the entire enemy army out of wind up tin robots: when you blast or punch them, they burst into flying bolts, brass gears, coiled springs and scrap metal with no blood and no gore.

If you want fast movement shooters where you fight robots, crystalline red figures or stylized targets with zero realistic gore, start with Roboquest ($24.99, free demo on Steam), SUPERHOT ($24.99), Neon White ($24.99) and Gunfire Reborn ($19.99). If you want first person puzzle comedy with talking robots or toy factory action, play Portal 2 ($9.99) and Toyland Tussle ($2.99). If you want stunt gunfu or vibrant alien comedy, check out Severed Steel ($24.99, free demo on Steam) and High On Life ($39.99). And if you want a 1930s rubber hose cartoon shooter where tin soldiers explode into springs and cogs, play the free Steam demo or 60 second browser trial of my game Iron Curtain Call (out 11 March 2027).

Iron Curtain Call

My game

Play it if you want punchy boomer shooter combat where every enemy is a wind up tin robot with zero blood or gore.

In Iron Curtain Call, punching or blasting an enemy feels heavy and immediate because tin soldiers fly apart into springs, cogs, bolts and comic clouds of smoke. There is no blood and no gore anywhere in the campaign, making it completely safe for streaming while keeping full nineties shooter speed. Mission 1 is free on Steam right now for Windows, macOS and Linux, and a 60 second browser trial runs at /play/.

Why fighting robots feels so satisfying

Flying gears, springs and sparks give clearer combat feedback than red mist

When a robot enemy loses an arm plate or bursts into a shower of brass gears and springs, you get instant, readable visual confirmation of your hit without needing realistic gore.

Questions

Questions players ask about non gory and robot FPS games

Does Iron Curtain Call have blood or gore?

No. Iron Curtain Call features cartoon violence against wind up tin robots only: they burst into bolts, springs and scrap metal, with no blood and no gore.

Which non gory FPS games on this page have a free demo on Steam right now?

Three games on this page have a free playable demo on Steam right now: Iron Curtain Call (Windows, macOS and Linux, plus a 60 second browser trial), Roboquest and Severed Steel.

What PC and indie games are coming out in 2027?

More than one page can hold: Steam shows a lot of PC and indie games with a 2027 date, and dates keep moving. What we checked on Steam on 7 November 2026 are the shooters and the Mac action games, in two dated lists: upcoming FPS games and upcoming Mac games. Iron Curtain Call, our own cartoon noir shooter, is due 11 March 2027 on Windows and macOS, and its free demo is on Steam now.

What games release on 11 March 2027?

Among the shooters we checked on Steam on 7 November 2026: Blood of Rations (11 March 2027) and Iron Curtain Call (My game, 11 March 2027). We only checked shooters, so this is not the full set for that day; Steam’s own Coming Soon page has the rest.

What is a good new single player FPS I can play for free right now?

Iron Curtain Call has a free demo on Steam (Mission 1, about 15 to 20 minutes) and a free 60 second browser trial with no download. It is a single player cartoon noir shooter, and it is our game, so weigh that. For other free shooters, our list of free FPS demos on Steam holds the best rated ones.
