The short answer

44 shooters with a date, 22 more waiting for one.

On 5 November 2026, Steam showed 44 first person shooters with a 2027 release day or month, and we list 22 more that only name a quarter or the year. The biggest name with a day is METRO 2039 from 4A Games, on 4 February 2027. Squadron 42 says Q2 2027; Clockwork Revolution, inXile’s steampunk shooter, says only 2027, no month yet.

One of the most popular shooters on Steam’s own upcoming list is Mortuus, a cooperative zombie roguelite (11 January 2027). Boomer shooter fans get Pluffy Nightmare (February 2027), Iron Curtain Call, our 1930s cartoon shooter, on 11 March 2027, Gridpaper on 1 April 2027 and Rush Hollow on 27 July 2027.

Play it if you want a fast DOOM style shooter that looks like a 1930s cartoon, and you would rather try it free than read about it.

Iron Curtain Call is a fast first person shooter drawn like a 1930s rubber hose cartoon. It is 1965, World War III has broken out, and you punch, dash, grapple and parry your way through an army of wind up tin robots run by a customer service machine called the Supreme Chancellor.

A Knuckle Sandwich punch gives you health, the Can Opener cracks a robot open for ammo and the Hot Take shoulder flamethrower feeds your armor, so the fight always pulls you closer. Robots burst into bolts, springs and scrap; there is no blood.

The free demo is Mission 1, Welcome to Rubbleton: about 15 to 20 minutes, from a crashed cargo plane and the 6:15 express to the first boss, Major Disaster.
