Iron Curtain Call
Our gamePlay it if you want your comedy to be satire rather than shock, and want to try it for free first.
The joke of Iron Curtain Call is that a world war is run like a help desk. It is 1965, year three of World War III, humanity ran out of soldiers and the enemy is an army of wind up tin robots run by the Supreme Chancellor, a customer service machine that was handed a country. Colonel Panic is on the radio: “I’d send backup, but you are the backup.” The first boss, Major Disaster, has seventeen medals, all self awarded.
The satire keeps going. In the chapter called Please Hold the hold music is the score and the phone menu is a mini boss; in Friendly Fire you are court martialled by a jury of robot kangaroos. Underneath it is a fast cartoon shooter where you punch robots for health, and they burst into bolts, springs and scrap. There is no blood and no gore.
Its jokes aim at war, red tape and customer service lines, not at shock. The free demo is Mission 1, Welcome to Rubbleton: about 15 to 20 minutes, ending with Major Disaster. It does not have the parry; that comes in the full game.
