When does Iron Curtain Call come out?
On 11 March 2027, on Steam, for Windows and macOS. You can wishlist it on its Steam page now.
Is there a free demo?
Yes. The free demo has been on Steam since 28 October 2026: Mission 1, Welcome to Rubbleton: about 15 to 20 minutes, from a crashed cargo plane and the 6:15 express to the first boss, Major Disaster. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Can I play it in the browser?
A free 60 second trial runs in the browser at ironcurtaincall.com/play, with no download and no account. Keyboard and mouse.
How much will it cost?
The price is not announced yet. Steam will show it before the release.
Is it multiplayer?
No. Iron Curtain Call is a single player campaign.
How long is the campaign?
Twelve chapters with twelve bosses, eleven guns and a freeze grenade, and three difficulty levels, as the press kit lists them. The studio has not published a playing time for the full game.
Which languages does it support?
Steam lists English, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Hindi, Turkish, Japanese, and Korean. English has full voice acting; Chinese, Japanese and Korean voices are planned for the full game.
Does it support a controller?
Steam lists partial controller support for the game.
What are the system requirements?
The minimums Steam lists for Windows: Windows 10 64 bit, an Intel Core i5 4460 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200, 8 GB of RAM, a GTX 950 or RX 460 with 2 GB and Vulkan support, and 2 GB of storage. On a PC at the minimum, turn on Performance mode in the display settings. For a Mac: macOS 13 Ventura, an Apple M1 with its 7 core GPU, 8 GB of RAM and 2 GB of storage.
Does it run on a Mac?
Yes. Steam lists macOS for the game and for the free demo. It needs an Apple chip: the minimum is an Apple M1 on macOS 13 Ventura.
Does it run on Steam Deck?
Valve has not rated it for Steam Deck yet, so the store shows no Deck badge. We will not call it Deck Verified before Valve does.
Is it gory?
No. The violence is cartoon violence against tin robots, who burst into bolts, springs and scrap. No blood, no gore.
What engine is it made in?
Godot 4.7.

Is it the same game as Irony Curtain?
No. Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka with Love is a 2019 point and click adventure by Artifex Mundi. Iron Curtain Call is a first person shooter by Whale Development Studios, out on 11 March 2027.
